Compressor
Compact, lightweight device with rubberized feet. It features touch control with two buttons. The left button is responsible for turning it on and off, while the right one is used to switch between modes.
There are three operating modes for the compressor – 16 psi, 20 psi, and 28 psi, which roughly equate to 1.08 atm, 1.36 atm, and 1.9 atm, respectively.
Subjectively, you can feel the difference in the output pressure, but there's no way to measure the actual airflow. I tried spraying Pacific88 P-13 Black primer with no issues on all three modes.
On the right side, there's an optional airbrush holder. It does its job well, providing a convenient place to keep the airbrush during work breaks.
The power adapter supplies 12 volts at 2 amps.
Note: The adapters vary based on the shipping address, including US, UK, EU, and AU plugs, which Neoeco will provide accordingly.
Аirbrush
It's a classic dual-action airbrush, but with its own unique features.
Airbrushes are divided into single-action and dual-action airbrushes. 'Single-action' means that the trigger controls only one thing – either the airflow or the material flow. With dual-action airbrushes, the trigger controls both the air valve and the material flow. By moving the trigger back and forth, the needle opens and closes the hole in the nozzle, regulating the paint flow.
The standard paint cup has a capacity of 9ml, and it comes with a lid. It's made of a lightweight alloy material, which feels somewhere between aluminum and plastic. The tailpiece is also made from a similar material.
It weighs 89 grams, which is quite light.
As I mentioned earlier, the kit includes an additional 20ml paint cup.
And there's also a 40ml paint cup included. With the 0.5mm kit installed, you can paint relatively large surfaces.
And if you need to paint very small areas, you can remove the paint cup.
One of the features of the airbrush is the protective cap.
It's removable but not magnetic like some German models. It simply comes off and snaps back on with minimal effort, a cost-effective and practical solution.
Another distinctive feature is the nozzle of the airbrush. It's non-threaded and self-centering, which simplifies airbrush maintenance. Moreover, it's quite large, making it less likely to be misplaced.
There's a Teflon gasket under the nozzle, while rubber seals are used in other parts of the assembly.
Conclusions
In summary, we have an excellent kit consisting of an airbrush, compressor, and accessories ready for use right out of the box. When precision work is needed, you can use the 0.2mm needle/nozzle/diffuser set. For covering larger surfaces, the 0.5mm kit and larger paint cups are available. For most tasks, the standard 0.3mm kit is versatile.
Everything is well-made, and I haven't found any noticeable issues. Of course, for extended work, a full-sized compressor is required, but this setup works perfectly for painting medium-scale models (1/35 and smaller) and figurines. It doesn't take up much space on the table and isn't very noisy.
