How to Hold Your Airbrush
-
Hold your airbrush much the same you would a pen but with your index finger on top of the trigger as pictured above.
-
Rest your free hand on the surface or keep it at a comfortable distance to provide stability and minimize unintentional movements. Striking a balance between support and distance is crucial for effective control during airbrushing.
How to Operate the Trigger
-
STEP 1
By gently pressing the trigger, you can release a controlled stream of air without paint.
-
STEP 2
Pulling back the trigger further allows paint to flow in addition to the air.
Master the technique
Different techniques, such as dotting, stippling, or creating smooth gradients, can be achieved by varying the trigger action, airflow, and paint flow. Practice and experimentation will help you develop your own style and technique.
